About Me

I was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. Although Buffalo is known primarily for its brutually snowy winters, it is actually a great city, and the chance to eat real Buffalo Chicken Wings alone makes the trip worthwhile (they really are better). I completed my undergraduate training at Swarthmore College where I graduated with High Honors in Neuroscience in 2008. At Swarthmore, I researched motion perception with Frank Durgin. As an undergraduate, I also worked at NYU's Center for Neural Science studying crowding and object recognition with Denis Pelli. I am currently a PhD candidate at NYU Center for Neural Science, working with David Heeger to study the neural basis of high-level visual processing. Outside of research, I enjoy film, rock 'n roll, and regular exercise.
